Meals-On-Wheels receives a referral, either from a client, a friend, or a
health care or social agency.
The client is interviewed to determine need and ability to pay. Clients who cannot pay the full cost of the meals pay what the client can afford, if anything.
Once approved, the client’s specific requirements and choices for food are entered into the Meals-On-Wheels system, and meals will begin to be delivered by our drivers, who volunteer their time and use thier own vehicles.

Objectives
The underlying objective of the program is to provide adequate nutrition for the elderly, ill, injured and handicapped individuals in our covered area, thus making it possible for them to live independently in their own homes, either temporarily or long-term. The friendly visit with the volunteers is socially helpful and the daily visit is important in case of an emergency situation.
